Scanned this MRI dorsal / lumbar spine on 1.5 Tesla Cannon Vantage Elan MRI in 2020 at the MRI department of radiology, Lahore Pakistan. I combined my medical expertise with an artistic sensibility. MRI, which uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed image & have become an essential diagnostic modality. Applying this in my art that also refers to women’s empowerment. “There is something so exceptional about a woman who dominates in this world. X-ray scan of iliac crest, that is the ilium's top border, the largest of the three bones that make up the pelvis. This scan is merged with angel wings art. The angel wing is very special as it is a symbol of angels who symbolize protection, purity, courage, love harmony, and protection. They provide us with happiness, hope, and faith. It is believed that angels reside in heaven and it is said that everyone has a guardian angel of their own.

As radiologists, we often like to refer to "imaging pearls" as important concepts or highlights regarding the interpretation of a certain kind of medical image. For actual pearls, "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer in the 17th century must be the most famous throughout art history, thus this imaginary radiograph of the girl. The radiograph was synthesized with several images generated by the new AI art-making tool "Midjourney" and actual patient images in Photoshop.

A young mother with a slow growing palpable right breast mass with an ultrasound result of large complex mass exhibiting internal vascularity correlated with breast MRI findings of well-defined, multilobulated, complex mass in the right with a dynamic contrast enhancement typical for a benign lesion and associated findings of skin thickening, moderate breast edema, nipple retraction and ipsilateral axillary lymphadenopathy may indicate a more aggressive process. Biopsy result of fibrocystic changes with no atypia.

Bilateral thalamic infarct secondary to Artery of Percheron occlusion gives a "butterfly" appearance. Using the CLUT (Colour Look Up Table) tool on a free DICOM viewer software, this "butterfly" came to live in this colourful Andy Warhol inspired picture.

The coming together. No matter the gender, size, race or hue, the more hands offering assistance reduces the burden of the task. Come together, brighten the light.

As a radiographer who works in both X-ray and MRI, I wanted my artwork to include elements from both modalities. The resulting work is a medical imaging nod to Claude Monet’s series Water Lilies; I created the lilies from x-ray images of hands and fingers, and the lily pads from a brain MRI (specifically a perfusion study).

Sickness, injury, disability and death make life feel hopeless. Physical or emotional suffering can often drag us down into the depths of despair and lead to a broken heart. Don’t worry about the broken heart, as He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Be hopeful and there is always a way to get you out of the predicament. Lungs is one of the vital organs in our body and the most commonly examined structure in medical imaging. This led my inspiration in making an artwork. I portrayed the lungs with clear and healthy environment void of any pollution. If the lungs get sick, a variety of lesions will be seen in x ray similarly if the environment gets destroyed, worsening climate change happens. Thus, what we do with nature has great impact that will affect every living thing in our planet. As the saying goes “the environment is in us, not outside of us…what you do to your environment, ultimately you do to yourself”.
